This woman in this image is Sarah Bartmaan, a South African who in the mid-19th century was kidnapped by Europeans and forced to display what was at the time an "unusual physiognomy".

She suffered from steatopygia, so she had excess fatty tissue around her hip and backside. At that time, Europeans were unaccustomed to seeing a woman with large breasts, wide hips and a large behind.

For these reasons, every day of her young life until the day she died, Sarah was hyper sexualized and forced to act in front of European men because of her physical characteristics.
